Additional information:

This lens causes a problem on this site as its aperture is not one of the options listed - it is f8.5; I have had to use f8.8 as the nearest to ts true aperture.

This is a well-made lens and is supplied with a T-mount, substantial hood and a set of 4 filters, one of which must be fitted to ensure correct focusing. According to a number of websites, this was actually made by Tokina for Bell & Howell; that would go a long way to explaining its excellent quality.  I can't find any details about its years of manufacture or whether it was marketed worldwide.  It is sharp, shows good contrast, especially when used with the hood, and it's not too heavy to be used hand-held.
