At wide-opened apertures image has very nice Bokeh.
Lens has high Mechanical assembling. Focusing ring is rotating smoothly thus providing comfortable focusing. Diaphragm ring allows to adjust spacing values.
Limited amount of gold-plated Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50 mm f/ 1.4 was also manufactured.
Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50 mm f/ 1.4 was being manufactured in Germany and in Japan. Some may consider German lenses to be better.
Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50 mm f/ 1.4 can be used as a portrait, genre, art and effect work with low DOF or just as every-day-lens.
