The Zykkor MC Auto 28 mm f/ 2.8 is a fast wide-angle multi-coated prime lens for 35 mm SRL cameras popular in the 1970-80s.

With a minimum focusing distance of 0.3 m the lens makes it possible to take 1:5 macro scale pictures.

The Zykkor MC Auto 28 mm f/ 2.8 delivers quite good sharpness when wide open. Contrast is rather good both at the center and at the borders.

Chromatic aberrations are negligible. There is slight vignetting visible when wide open. It is well resistant to back and side light, but as is the case with any other manual lens, the use of a lens hood is strongly recommended.

The Zykkor MC Auto 28 mm f/ 2.8 features smooth, accurate and convenient focusing and long focus ring travel.

It can be easily mounted on modern SRL and mirrorless cameras.

The Zykkor MC Auto 28 mm f/ 2.8 lens is a good choice for landscape, genre and interior photography. Thanks to well corrected geometric distortions, it can be used for shooting architecture.
