A day of mixed weather, but enough sunshine for good shooting.

The Adaptamatic 300/5.6 is a very handy lens in the field. This one is going to be a favorite.

I'm not sure which of these works better -

or -

Well this ones at the zoo, but..

Another great set Luis. Some of the birds seem almost prehistoric. Do you know what they are called (Nos 2, 5 & 6) ?

Hi John,

2- The red-headed bird is a common American turkey-vulture.

5- The black bird with the large bill is an African open-billed stork.

6- This is another stork, an African Marabou

Just out of curiosity, are your hands made of stone, or do you carry a tripod?

Shocked I am flabbergasted by the quality of your telephoto work.

That is, once I get past the perfect exposure and gorgeous color, I notice the sharpness and decisive moment.

All my stuff save for "product shots" are handheld. I hate tripods.

I put all the credit with Pentax, that IS is superb, essential for all this really. My hands aren't steady at all, I shake.
