The Tamron 17-35 mm is one of the cheapest full frame ultra wide-angle lenses on the market, with angles of view from 103.6 to 63.4 degrees. In times when APS-C/DX class sensors are universally used it is a quite good substitute of a kit lens, being the equivalent of a 26-54 mm instrument. Many users might not like the lack of longer focal lengths but you can go round this problem by adding a 1.8/50 lens to your arsenal which, in the case of Canon and also Nikon, will be one of cheaper instruments on the market. The grand total for the Tamron 17-35 mm and a 1.8/50 set will be around 1700 – 1800 PLN and its optical quality might knock out many kit devices, even those high-end ones.

The Tamron 17-35 mm has a very high opinion among its users. Is it justified? Exactly in order to verify that view we asked the Fotocenter company to lend us the lens for testing purposes. You will find the results of our test in next chapters.
