Hi all, this is my first post on here.  I found this site when searching for web comments on the Sigmatel 135mm f1.8.  The review here is wrong about the optical scheme.  Its actually 6 elements in 5 groups, not 6 elements in 4 groups.

Also, the minimum focus distance is actually 4 foot 3 inches, (1.33 meters) not 2 meters.

The Sigmatel is optically identical to the Sigma XQ 135mm f1.8, but is different optically to all other 135mm f1.8 lenses.

Its design was so good that Pentax borrowed most of it when they produced their SMC-A version.

I have compiled the known optical diagrams of the various 135mm f1.8 lenses out there (not all brand names are shown):
