If you don't need a kind of background separation (and the lighting conditions are good enough) you will take such e picture rather at f/8. So it doesn't make sense to concentrate only at wide apertures. There are so many other properties of a lens lik color rendering, distortion or difraction at small apertures...

My comment had no relation to the bokeh, but to the sharpness performance of a lens in the middle and on the edge at open aperture and on the CA behavior.
And you can not judge that at f / 16.

This is not a page about bokeh photography, this is a page abot lenses. Every aperture can be "helpful".

The photo is nice, but not really helpful.
Because: almost every lens is sharp at f / 16.
Interesting would be a Shoot at open aperture.
