Owner reviews: Nikon AF Nikkor 28-80 mm f/ 3.3-5.6 G

Kevin Macy 11.03.2016 06:48:26
Period of use: 2 years

Strengths:

Unbelievably sharp and quick focus.  It focuses fast because of the short turn to get from one range to the other.  It is the sharpest lens in my tests for any of my zooms.

Weaknesses:

Plastic everything.  Feels cheap.  Dont pick your camera up by this lens!

Comments:

I tend to grab this if I am shooting artistic shots of still life because of its focal range and extraordinary sharpness.  I carry this at all times in my go bag along with a extreme wide angle (10-20mm) and 70-300mm VR and a 50 and 85 prime.
