The Sigma AF 800mm f5.6 EX APO HSM is an apochromatic super telephoto prime lens for film SLR cameras with Canon EF, Nikon F, Sigma SA bayonet mounts.

The optical scheme of the lens is made up of 13 elements in 10 groups, including two ELD elements. All the optical elements are made of ecologically pure glass with no lead or arsenic.

The system of internal focusing and rotating filter holder in the rear part of the lens barrel enable the use of polarizers. It is compatible with the Sigma APO EX Tele Converter 1.4x MF and 2x MF.
