Additional information:

The Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM is a professional  super magnifying zoom lens with a wide range (10-11x) of zooming. It also features a high level of dust and moisture protection. It allows photographers to reduce lens changes and the number of lenses they need to carry.

The image stabilizer is able to detect a lack of movement, so it can remain in the ON position on a tripod. The IS has two modes:

  1. standard mode, correcting motions for static scenes (horizontal and vertical stabilization)
  2. panning mode, correcting motion along the vertical axis (independent of the lens orientation).

The Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 L IS USM:

  • 3-stop image stabilizer with two modes
  • circular aperture
  • zoom may be locked at any focal length
  • Super Spectra coating for digital cameras
  • diagonal angle of view 75° - 8° 15’
  • horizontal angle of view 65° – 6° 50’
  • vertical angle of view 46° – 4° 35’
  • manual focusing may be engaged with focus mode switch and focusing ring (full-time manual focusing)
  • max. magnification 0.06 (wide) - 0.3 (tele)
  • maximum diameter  92 mm
  • ET-83G petal hood included
  • incompatibility with EF 1.4x II and EF 2x II extenders
