The Canon EF 70-300 mm  f/ 4.0-5.6 L IS USM   is a new (marketed in Oct., 2010) professional high-performance zoom lens, equipped with a 4-stop optical image stabilizer. It is compact (just 143 mm long), dust and water resistant.
