Additional information:

The Jupiter-21M 200 mm f/ 4 (Russian: "Юпитер") is meant for cameras with the M42x1 screw mount and 45.5 mm of flange focal length, equipped with an instant-return iris aperture with shutdown mechanism.

It has a built-in retractable hood.

It was produced by the Krasnogorsk mechanical works (KMZ) and the Vologda Optic Mechanical Works (VOMZ).

The Jupiter-21М-2 variant was also produced.

The Jupiter-21А is remarkable for its changeable "А-adapter" which enables to use the lens on cameras with the M42x1/45.5 and M39x1/45.2 screw mounts.

Strengths:

Are only two days I do photos and photo tests with this Russian goal and are already 'enthusiastic about his quality' optics.

I just seem to have given the assessment that other collectors and photographers ...

I think .not less than 4 stars.

Very good contrast.

Price paid 40 euro in excellent condition like new.

Weaknesses:

heavy weight and lack of screw to mount it on a tripod. We must aquiastare the 70mm ring for tripod.

Comments:

Recommended for analog and digital cameras mirrorless.

Uniting also a focal doubler, quality ', you can' have a nice paintings at reduced prices.

Image quality very good, very sharp and beautiful colours

The focus ring is very long, making precise

Strengths:

Great image quality.

Very sharp.

Great bokeh.

Feel of a great old school lens, not too much contrast.

Weaknesses:

It's heavy and bulky so you won't want to be carrying it all the time.

Comments:

This lens is GREAT. Image quality is awesome, very sharp and with great bokeh and colors. The mechanic focus is very precise, with a long turn. The images are very different from nowadays lenses, which tend to be too "punchy" with lots of contrast. With the Jupiter 21M you get the feeling of an old school lens, which doesn't deliver much contrast and yet you love the image results. It is very fun.
