This lens is unbelievably Sharp, I have used my canon T2i and my Nikon D2x and both got stellor images. Yes it is slow, but at 400mm and with this type of performance it is one of my favorite lens. It can be used with a 2x vivitar converter and the nikon m42 to nikon mount with glass. Mine will get infinity focus, with focus confirmation. No easy task to say the least but it can be done using a good tripod, mirror up and remote timer. Yes there is some ca but nothing that lightroom 5 can't get rid of instantly. Just have to focus and be grateful for the time spent. This is a Tokina T4 M42 so you can intechange with the right lens mount converters... I use the live view mode on my t2i and the D2x lets me enter the focus and aperture data. I can not say eonugh of the good things this lens can produce. Well made, easy focus, etc.
