Additional information:

The Nikkor 500 mm f/ 4 Р IF ED is a super telephoto manual focus prime lens for 35 mm Nikon F cameras.

The lens has a built-in chip to control aperture settings, as is the case with AF lenses. As a result, the lens is capable of functioning in aperture-preferred A mode. When used on any modern Nikon digital camera, the lens will completely integrate with the camera's complex matrix metering system, and EXIF will contain data on aperture settings.

The front element is protected by a supplied dust-proof 122 mm UV filter; 39 mm filters are mounted at the rear section.
