The Tamron SP AF 200-500mm F/5-6.3 Di LD (IF)(Model A08) is a full-format 2.5x zoom lens, not equipped with an image stabilizer.
The optical scheme of the lens includes two Low Dispersion glass elements which reduce aberrations.
High-strength plastic is used in the lens construction, which considerably reduces the weight.
The Tamron SP AF 200-500 mm f/ 5-6.3 Di LD (IF) design allows you to rotate a polarizer with the hood attached via the filter effect control ring. The FEC ring can be removed.
The detachable tripod collar, made of durable and light magnesium-base alloy, can be removed by pressing the button.
The focus ring rotates during autofocus operations.
The Tamron SP AF 200-500 mm f/ 5-6.3 Di LD (IF) features the zoom lock mechanism at 200 mm, which prevents barrel extension under its own weight when the lens is directed downwards.
