The MC Zenitar-K 1.4/85 is an ultra fast multicoated portrait prime lens for 35 mm SLR cameras with the K bayonet mount. The lens is equipped with an instant-return diaphragm.

The lens came in small lots in 1984 and 1986 initially under the name of MC Zenitar-K 1.4/85 because of the Soviet standardization specifics. The lens was to go into mass production in 1988. The lens differs from the MC Zenitar-1К 1.4/85 not only in having the index "1", but also in optical design and dimensions.
