The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 35mm F1.4G  is a professional wide-angle ultra fast prime lens of the FX format. It features Nano Crystal Coat and  Silent Wave Motor.

Thanks to a solid, damp-proof construction made from magnesium alloy, as well as to reliability and excellent optical characteristics, the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 G lens is ideal for intense use in hard conditions.

At f/1.4-2.0 it is soft, especially at the borders. From f/ 2.8 onwards it is  far sharper at the center than at the borders, even on a DX frame . Distortion is negligible. It shows a great amount of vignetting on a full frame,  on approximately the same level with the Canon 35/1.4L lens. High level of chromatic aberrations.
