Additional information:

The Porst Uni-Zoom 35-105mm f/3.5 Macro MC Auto M  is a standard zoom lens with a fixed max. aperture for popular 35 mm non-AF SLR cameras.

Porst is a German company (established by Hans Porst) which distributed photo equipment by mail (bankrupted in 2002).The company ordered equipment from well-known manufacturers, but sold it under its own brand name.

The Porst Uni-Zoom 35-105mm f/3.5 Macro MC Auto M is a manual focus multi-coated lens with a fixed lens speed throughout the entire range of focal lengths. The lens offers a minimum focusing distance of 1.35 m and from 0.15 to 0.6 m in macro mode. It also features a black 6-blade diaphragm, perture range of 3.5-16, and M/A instant-return aperture mode selector. Zooming is controlled with the ring. The lens retains sharpness  while zooming, which is very important for shooting HD video. Filter thread diameter: 72 mm. This metal lens is rather heavy with thick transparent glass, but remarkable for its very high build quality. This versatile zoom lens produces a good picture with bright colors and excellent sharpness and is suitable for any type of photography: from portrait to nature and architecture. Porst is likely to have ordered this lens from Tokina which then manufactured lenses for other companies (for example, Vivitar ZOOM 3.5 / 35-105 mm).

The lens design includes 14 elements in 8 groups.
