Strengths:
A versatile lens, but with limitations of the DX build. Its been a workhorse for me on my D300s, shooting Real Estate, and some of the more scenic vistas of the Colorado Mountains. Its never let me dow, and a quick snappy focus. Its got a soft touch of vignette, at most of the open apertures, this does smooth out to a degree by F 8 or so. If you can find a good cared for copy, its nice to have and use.
Weaknesses:
Vignette is a bit harsh wide open, and although a tough plastic, its still plastic.
Comments:
It was expensive to purchase (used) but it has paid for itself with some nice shots for my clients.
