Period of use: 2 years

Strengths:

For normal use, this is a good lens considering the age of the design. The two main strengths over other lenses are the pattern of the bokeh, which can give the appearance of swirling around the center, and a strong lens flare.

Weaknesses:

Sharpness falls off quickly when moving the subject away from the center. The strong lens flare that I see as a strength also comes with a severe loss of contrast over a significant portion of the frame when flaring is present.

Comments:

This is my favorite portrait lens, even if I'm not going for the swirly look or lens flare.

Period of use: 1 month

Strengths:

Build quality, Bokeh, Ease of use, quite sharp

Weaknesses:

None

Comments:

This lens is a blast to use, probably one of my favorite lens ever and I own or owned a huge amount of glass. Despite to popular believe, this lens is not only nice for bokeh but is also acceptably sharp wide open, certainly soft in the corner but center is pretty good.
