Additional information:
Meopta Meostigmat 70mm f/1.4 is very fast projection lens. No filter mount, no aperture and no helicoid.
Was used in 16mm film projectors with 52.5mm mount (Meopta Meoclub 16). Can be used with modern DSLMs, also 35mm frame sensors. Use without modification (cutting the lens barrel) is also possible on DSLRs, but with restrictions. Because of the very short flange focal distance of this lens it´s not possible to focus to infinity with DSLRs. Then only the close range is possible.
This lens is useful for cameras with a short flange focal distance (for example the Sony E-mount system or Canon EOS-M) and artistic photography.
Center sharpness is very good. Its bokeh is similar to Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 75mm f1.5 (http://allphotolenses.com/lenses/item/c_921.html). Also the lens scheme is very similar to the Biotar.
The minimum focus distance depends on the type of adaptation. Links to online resources: PDF Files: Posted by: Andreas Lindemann Date of publication: 13.02.2016
