Additional information:
The Meyer-Optik Görlitz Trioplan 100 mm f/ 2.8 is a soft-focus portrait lens made by a famous German optical company.
As for the optical scheme, it is a classic orthodox Cooke triplet, at the same time having rather fast lens speed for the scheme like that.
There are versions with the red "V" on the casing. Such lenses have the best coating, and they better handle side and back light.
When wide open, the Meyer-Optik Görlitz Trioplan 100 mm f/ 2.8 has a pronounced soft effect. The picture is really beautiful, soft and flexible. When stopping down, it is rather sharp.
Contrast of the generated image is below medium.
The Meyer-Optik Görlitz Trioplan 100 mm f/ 2.8 is a light-weight, but unusually long for such focal length.
The front lens is deeply recessed. As a result the lens barrel forms something like a built-in hood. Nevertheless, it is recommended to use it with an extra hood.
