It is designed for digital cameras equipped with the Nikon DX sensor.The range of focal lengths of 18-70 mm is equivalent  to 27-105 mm for 35 mm cameras and provides maximum versatility of the lens.

A high quality of optical elements is secured with three ED elements and one hybrid aspherical element, effectively correcting aberrations.
