Creamy bokeh when shot wide open. Ninja star bokeh like Carl Zeiss when stopped down f/4-f/16. 180 degree focus throw that is well damped. "R" Designator on the serial number means produced by Itoh Optical of Japan for Soligor. Quite heavy lens that is a very solid build.
