Owner reviews: Hanimex 28 mm f/ 2.8 MC Automatic

Clive Champion 13.10.2017 02:52:56
Period of use: 2 months

Strengths:

Excellent Colour rendition. Micro contrast is superb. I don't conisder bokeh that important in wide lenses but will shoot some wide apature stuff anyway when I get a chance.

Weaknesses:

None as far s I can tell. Will post again when I shoot wide open.

Comments:

This lens shot at f11 on a Nikon D800E is remarkable. I the 24-70mm 2.8G and that is what I can comapre it to. Sharp from edge to edge with exellent mico contrast and very pleasing color rendition. I have recently got into vintage lenses and am having lot's of fun with them and also getting some very nice surprises. This Hanimex is no exeption. I think I paid $37.00 for it. Well worth it. Great for travel with a large DSLR like the D800E
