Additional information:

The SMC PentaxDA* 50-135 mm f/ 2.8 ED [IF] SDM is one of the best Pentax fast zoom lenses.

The aspherical elements, special optical glasses and SMC coatings provide equally bright images across the entire frame, as well as high contrast and sharpness.

DA lenses utilize the Supersonic Direct-drive Motor which enables smooth and silent focusing. SDM focusing is automatically on when lenses with the SDM motor are mounted on the PENTAX K10D camera. When the lens is mounted on other DSRL camera, focusing is provided by a focusing motor built into the camera.

As well as DA lenses, the lenses of this series are traditionally moisture-protected. The lens features moisture and dust resistant barrel design; the fluorine-based SP coating protects the front element against dust, moisture and grease.

The system of Quick-Shift Focus allows instant switching to manual focusing mode after SDM focusing is on. This easy-to-use system may be used both in cameras with SDM focusing mode and in other DSRL  PENTAX cameras with a built-in focusing motor.

Due to high lens speed, the SMC Pentax DA* 50-135мм f/2.8 ED [IF] SDM is suitable for portrait and sports photography.

The ED glass elements effectively combat chromatic aberrations.

A special antiglare PENTAX coating effectively minimizes internal rereflections and optimizes the image on sensors with a high reflection coefficient.
