Additional information:

The Mir-10 28 mm f/ 3.5(Russian: "Мир") is a wide-angle coated lens (single-layer coating), manufactured by the KMZ. The Mir -10A version was designed for SLR cameras with  M39 and  M42 screw mounts via a changeable rear part (A-adapter). The Mir-10М version with the M42 screw mount and  camera controlled aperture drive was also produced.

The image is of low contrast, the lens has characteristic flare.

  • The resolution according to the technical specifications (center/edge):  42/20 lpmm;
  • Angle of  view: 75°;
  • Coefficient of transparency: 0.74;
  • Color contribution index (CCI): 15-0-2.

The Mir-10 28mm f/ 3.5 was completed with a leather case and set of filters (UF-1x (ultraviolet), Zh-2x (yellow), O-2.8x (orange)).

The lens is rather rare, that's why in the secondary market its price is often overrated.

In 1963 the experimental Mir-10, designed by the State Optic Institute, was manufactured.
