Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-55 mm f/ 3.5-5.6 G ED DX II Lens

The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 18-55 mm f/ 3.5-5.6 G ED DX II  is a  kit zoom lens for Nikon APS-C format DSLR cameras. It is equipped with an ultrasonic motor, providing fast and quiet autofocusing.

Its characteristics are analogous to that of the AF-S Nikkor 18-55 mm f/ 3.5-5.6 G ED DX. In effect, it is its cosmetic modification, though according to Photozone tests its resolution results are much better than those of its predecessor.

Focusing is accurate and silent; the front element does not rotate. Minimum apertures are equal to f/22–38 at the short and long ends correspondingly.

The Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 18-55 mm f/ 3.5-5.6 G II ED was supplied as a kit lens for the Nikon D40 (D40x) and the Nikon D3200.
