The Nikon Nikkor 105 mm f/ 1.8 Ai-S is a fast telephoto portrait prime lens for 35-mm SLR Nikon F cameras. It is equipped with a built-in telescoping hood.
The popular Nikkor 105 mm f/ 2.5 was followed by its "elder brother", remarkable for its greater lens speed. The Nikon Nikkor 105 mm f/ 1.8 lens came in the Ai-S modification in 1981 - there were no other modifications. It produces excellent sharpness at all aperture settings.
