The Canon EF-S 17-85mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USMis an all-purpose 5x zoom lens (analogous to the EF 28-135 FF lens) for crop factor cameras. Fast and silent autofocus combined with a 3-stop stabilizer and low weight makes the lens convenient for travelling and amateur macrography. The first substitute for the kit EFs18-55 lens; many EOS cameras come completed with this lens.
