Additional information:
Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 28 mm f/ 2.8 C/Y - wide-angle fast lens with T* coating and 75 degrees angle of view.
It is a good choice for landscape works and city view pictures.
Wide-open it has strong vignetting even without using filter. Aperture being closed a little forces situation to improve. But slight resolution fall-off can be viewed at the peripheral of a picture at 100% scale after careful investigation.
This lens demonstrate all of it's potential at aperture of F5.6.
Pictures made with Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2.8/28 lens can be distinguished by realistic color reproduction. Even too realistic.
CA (chromatic aberrations) and blooming can not be identified. Lens has moderate distortion and good micro-contrast.
Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2.8/28 has a reliable form-factor being one of the best representatives of a Contax system. Retro-focus optical scheme allows to use it practically on all cameras.
At it's focal length 28mm this lens can competite with best representatives including modern brothers-in-brand.
There were no additional accessories in retail set.
