The Vivitar 28-105 mm f/ 3.5-4.5 is a kit zoom lens for 35 mm SLR cameras of different systems.
The lens is based on a push-pull principle (focal length is changed by pushing or pulling the focusing ring, the lens length is changing at the same time).
In macro mode minimum focusing distance is reduced to 0.74 m, the scale of 1:5 is reached at the same time (at 105 mm).

Owner reviews: Vivitar 28-105 mm f/ 3.5-4.5
Period of use: 2 monthsStrengths:
well-built lens; good sharpness and colors; nice macro goes to 1:5
tends to have some zoom creep; somewhat heavy; does not have auto aperture
I used the Pentax version w/ Ricoh pin (which is rounded type which does not get stuck on Pentax K mount)
Liked the lens, but never use it since I got a Pentax DA 18-135
