Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar 60 mm f/ 2.8 C/Y - fast macro lens with a special multi-coating
and fixed focal length for 35mm Contax/Yashica SLR cameras.
This lens was made using very successful optical scheme Planar which was tested during a lot of years.
Was manufactured in two modifications:
1) by Kyocera, Japan (with Carl Zeiss license). AEJ and MMJ types.
2) by Carl Zeiss, West-Germany. AEG and MMG types.
Some may consider German-made lens to be better. As a user of both types i dont agree with this myth.
Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar 60 mm f/ 2.8 C/Y has a very nice rigid construction made of metal and glass with dotted rubbered covering of wide focusing ring.
When doing close-up work front element of lens is sliding out.
Makro-function enables close-up scale up to 1:1 without any additional acessories.
Carl Zeiss Makro-Planar 60 mm f/ 2.8 is known for its beautuful bokeh and minimal distortion.
