Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 200 mm f/ 2.8is a telephoto prime lens for 35-мм SLR cameras with the m42 Screw mount.

The manufacturer: Carl Zeiss Jena (the ex-GDR).

Pros: according to the users, it is sharp with the aperture wide open, soft blurring in the zone of unsharpness, exellent color rendering, reliable and solid metal body.

Cons: big and heavy.

Delivery set: lens, 2 lids and firm case.

The Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 200 mm f/ 2.8 has a "built-in" hood that can be mounted on the lens in two ways: for transportation or shooting, and can be completely unmounted (see pictures).

The aperture is equipped with an automatic drive, but has also a manual mode selector.

There are two variants of the Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 200/2.8: with multi-coating and without.
