Strengths:
This lens for the first look yes is cheap plastic build kit lens, but the optical quality like a kit zoom lens is one of the best what I use. Within lens built-in autofocus motor easy adaptable for Sony E-mount cameras, and nice fast autofocus.
Weaknesses:
The plastic low quality build.

Yes, Sony have a lot of kit lens and more priced and the surprise comes when the cheaper used mine 30$ kit lens for APS-C sensor cameras is one of the best. You can check on DxO at the sharpness test. I brought this lens with me at two low lights conditions sports events, adapted to Sony A6500 with LA-EA3 I get nice fast autofocus and the results were not bad at all.
