Additional information:
The Olympus G.Zuiko 50mm f/1.4 Auto-S (FTL) is a normal ultra-fast prime lens for popular SLR non-AFcamera systems with the M42 screw mount.
The lens had been manufactured for 7 months in 1971. In all Olympus produced 7500 items.
The lens, as well as the whole Olympus FTL system, is not Olympus' proprietary product. The product was bought outside and does not differ from similar cameras of that time. Particularly, this camera bears much resemblance to the Topcon camera. The allegation that Zuiko FTL М42 lenses are identical to Olympus OM as for its optical performance is a common misconception.
The quality of manufacturing, metal working and painting is very high. Besides, the lenses feature a very good frame. Despite the age, the lens' mechanism functions perfectly well. The focus ring travel is smooth and soft.
