Tokina AT-X M35 PRO DX AF 35 mm f/2.8 Macrois a wide-angle prime macro lens. The lens has been specially designed for Canon EF-S APS-C (Equivalent focal length=56 mm) and Nikon DX APS-C (Equivalent focal length=52.5 mm) digital SLR cameras and is incompatible with full-frame cameras. It allows you to take 1:1 macro scale pictures from the distance of 14 cm.
The front element of the Tokina AT-X M35 PRO DX AF 35 mm f/ 2.8 Macrohas a new WR coating (Water Repellent Optical Coating), facilitating cleaning of the front element from fingerprints and stains (water drops) in comparison with other standard multicoatings.
TheTokina AT-X M35 PRO DX AF 35 mm f/ 2.8 Macro is equipped with the so called One-touch Focus Clutch Mechanism, i. e. the choice between manual focusing and auto-focusing modes is realized with one touch. In order to switch autofocus mode you should slightly shift the focus ring forward. To engage manual focusing the focus ring should be shifted back to the camera. Switching requires some effort and is followed with a click sound. The focus ring rotates in AF mode during focusing operations. It is not possible to adjust autofocus manually.
The Tokina AT-X M35 PRO DX AF 35 mm f/ 2.8 Macrofeatures a limiter switch of autofocus range Full/Limit, which enables you to select the range from 14 cm or from 17 cm to infinity. In Full mode the range is covered for about two seconds. In Limit mode autofocus functions twice as fast.
