Additional information:
The MC Volna-9 50 mm f/ 2.8(Russian: "Волна") was considered to be one of the best macro lenses of the Soviet Union era.
It can take a 1:2 scale pictures, and a 1:1 scale with a reversed lens.
It has a multilayer coating (MC).
Chromatic aberration is well corrected.
The front lens of the МС Volna-9 50 mm f/ 2.8 is recessed rather deep into the lens barrel. As a result we have something like a built-in hood.
For macrography the aperture at f/16 is often insufficient.
It is rather sharp from f/ 4 onwards. It is soft at f/ 2.8. It handles well both side and back light.
The bokeh of the МС Volna-9 50 mm f/ 2.8 is not very beautiful. Doubling of lines and polygonal circles of confusion are visible.
The aperture has a star shape at f/ 4-8.
