The Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSMis an ultra fast medium telephoto lens, which is ideal for portrait photography and for shooting in poor light conditions.
One SLD (Special Low Dispersion) element is used to effectively compensate chromatic aberration. An aspherical molded lens ensures perfect correction of spherical aberration and sagittal coma flare. The Super Multi Layer reduces flare and halation even when shooting against the light and provides high contrast throughout the entire range of focusing.
The Sigma AF 85 mm f/ 1.4 EX DG HSM is equipped with a hyper sonic motor, providing high-speed and silent autofocusing, as well as full and continuous possibility of manual focusing in the autofocus mode.
For the first time ever a manufacturer of a full-format lens has not spared a piece of plastic and a thought for users of APS-C cameras. Besides the hood, the Sigma AF 85 mm f/ 1.4 EX DG HSM comes completed with an extension adapter for using the hood on cameras with a crop factor of 1.5.
