The Sigma 28 mm F1.8 EX DG ASP Macrois a full format fast wide-angle lens designed for digital and film SLR cameras, but which can also be used on digital APS-C cameras with an equivalent focal length of 45 mm. The optical scheme includes two aspherical elements for minimizing distortion, spherical aberration and astigmatism. The floating system of internal focusing decreases distortion throughout the entire focusing range and enables shooting at the minimum working distance of 20 cm. The double focusing system makes it possible to manually adjust autofocus, and the focusing ring does not rotate during autofocus operations. The focusing mechanism ensures the optical member linear movement without the front lens rotation and makes it possible to use a petal hood and polarized filters.
