The lens body is generally made from metal. Only zoom and aperture rings are plastic.

It is a revised 70-210mm f4 remake. The first difference striking the eye is smaller weight and dimensions. The explanation is simple - variable aperture, distinctive feature of all budget lenses.

However, the lens is considered to be successful by Nikon fans.
