Additional information:
The Carl Zeiss Distagon 2/28 HFT is a very fast 35mm-SLR wide-angle lens for the Rollei QBM mount.
Due to its imaging characteristics, it was nicknamed the "Hollywood Distagon." It can create a strong 3D effect in images.
It was produced in very small quantities and is therefore very highly traded by collectors. And of course, last but not least, it is highly appreciated by filmmakers and photographers because of its optical characteristics and Bokeh.
From the history: The Zeiss Distagon 2/28 HFT was initially manufactured for the Rollei SLR QBM system and later, with unchanged optical design, transferred to the Contax Yashica SLR system as the Carl Zeiss Distagon 28mm f/2 T* – only the lens body, the mount and lens coating were modified.
Unlike the Zeiss C/Y lenses (AEG/AEJ & MMG/MMJ), the Zeiss QBM lenses were produced exclusively in Germany.
The SMC Pentax 28mm F2 is said to have originated from the brief collaboration between Carl Zeiss and Pentax.
