Additional information:
The Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/85 HFT is a very fast 35mm-SLR tele lens for the Rollei QBM mount.
The lens has an unusual three-blade diaphragm (see Fig. 8) like the Carl Zeiss Distagon 1.4/35 HFT, which creates triangles in the highlights of the bokeh.

From the history: The Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/85 HFT was initially manufactured for the Rollei SLR QBM system and later, with unchanged optical design, transferred to the Contax Yashica SLR system as the Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/85 T* – only the lens body, the mount and lens coating were modified.

This lens came in two finishings: first with focus- and blade ring in metal, later both rings in rubber (see Fig. 2-3 and 4-5). The optical design in both versions were unchanged.
Unlike the Zeiss C/Y lenses (AEG/AEJ & MMG/MMJ), the Zeiss QBM lenses were produced exclusively in Germany.
