The Canon EF 70-200 mm f/ 4.0 L IS USM is an updated lens equipped with a 4-stop and 2-mode gyroscopic image stabilizer. The lens is very useful for shooting in low-light-level conditions.
As different from the version without IS, it has a new optical scheme. The lens is a bit heavier. The length is the same.
The lens is dust and moisture protected and is well fit for shooting in difficult weather and climatic conditions.
The construction uses a circular aperture, which provides good blurring of out-of-focus areas (bokeh).
Focusing is accurate, fast and virtually silent. The lens is equipped with a ring-type USM and manual focusing.
The Super Spectra coating prevents pictures from flare and halation.
The optical scheme of the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L IS USM utilizes one fluorite and two UD elements, ensuring high resolution and good contrast at all focal lengths.
Compatible hood: ET-74
The lens comes completed with a hood and a case.
