Additional information:
The Sigma 19mm f/2.8 DN is a wide-angle prime lens for Micro4/3 and Sony E digital mirrorless cameras. The lens belongs to the new Art series. This lens is to replace the Sigma 19mm F2.8 EX DN, manufactured since 2012.
The telecentric optical design of the lens hasn't changed and comprises eight elements in six groups, including three high-precision molded aspherical elements to correct distortion and field curvature (incl. biconvex for minimizing coma). The system of internal focusing effectively corrects aberration fluctuation. Super multicoating reduces flare and ghosting and provides high contrast images.
The lens employs a linear AF drive motor which moves the lens elements directly without the need for gears or the drive of other mechanical parts. This system provides accurate and silent autofocus, which makes the lens optimal for shooting video.
The bayonet is made of brass. The body is metal. The lens is available in two colors - black or silver - for both bayonets. Made in Japan.
