| Additional information:
The Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/80 T is a lower telephoto prime lens for 35mm SLR cameras.
The first version has a red T in inscription, later copies are without T in labeling. The iris is a nearly round 16 blades preset aperture. The Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 2.8/80 T appeared at the same time as the Biometar 2.8/80 T according to GDR Timetable of Zeiss Jena lenses, but the Tessar was only produced for a short time. Other sources speak of Biometar 2.8/80 T as the successor to this Tessar.
