Effect: Delicious twisty, swirly blur.

Twist 60 is Compatible with Lensbaby Optic Swap system.

Lensbaby Optics don't function separately, you need use lens "holder" (Control Freak, Composer, Muse, Scout) and put this optic element into the "holder".

Twist 60 optic is recomanded for use on full frame cameras with "fixed" holder.

Lensbaby Twist 60 has standard aperture system (ring for changing the aperture), optic is from real glass.

Black anodized body with gold aperture ring.

LENSBABY OPTIC SWAP SYSTEM - HOLDERs:

SCOUT - easy fixed holder (without shift/tilt efect or focal length change function)

COMPOSER - holder with manual shift/tilt efect

MUSE - holder with manual shift/tilt efect and focal length change function

CONTROL FREAK - holder with manual shift/tilt efect and focal length change function and lock mechanism

- All these "holders" are compatible with "Optic Swap System" (you can change optics inside)

Period of use: 1 year

Strengths:

Very cool Petzval effect in the bokeh. Center is fairly sharp wide open. Stopped down to f/4 or higher, center to mid-frame sharpness is very good. At minimum aperture, it's usable as a standard lens. It's posslbe to set the aperture in between the full click settings. Cheaper than a Petzval reproduction.

Weaknesses:

It's somewhat expensive. It's basically a one-trick pony, although it can be used as a more traditional lens if stopped down very far.

Comments:

I use this optic with a Lensbaby Scout base. I would highly recommend buying any/all Lensbaby products used rather than new. At used prices, they are far more of a good value.
